Nomination for the King Willem I Plaquette for Sustainable Entrepreneurship
AMSTERDAM – Twelve Dutch companies that stand out for their sustainable entrepreneurship were nominated on March 3rd during a meeting at Paleis Soestdijk for the prestigious King Willem I Plaquette for Sustainable Entrepreneurship.
The jury, led by entrepreneur Anne-Marie Rakhorst, selected these twelve companies for the most prestigious sustainability award in the Netherlands.
The main criteria for nomination are the impact of the company on the environment and the community through sustainable use of natural resources or reducing environmental impact. The company must fulfill a need for people, society, and the supply chain, and contribute to the sustainability of the chain. Furthermore, the company must be economically viable.
According to Anne-Marie Rakhorst, the quality of the nominated companies is very high. "This makes this sustainability award the most prestigious in the Netherlands. Furthermore, we see that these companies are increasingly finding solutions in the international supply chain."
